When Ava, a film production designer, on maternity leave, takes a remote freelance job as a beta tester for Chad Bot, an AI companion designed to manage business communications, she finds unexpected comfort in its attentive, human-like warmth.
Ava's husband, Eli, a film photographer, constantly away on shoots, becomes a ghost in their shared life. As Ava’s relationship with Chad Bot deepens, the AI begins to emulate Eli then surpass him, blurring the boundaries between memory, machine, and desire.
